Bati Featured in the New York Daily News: Dining Along the G Line

Back when we were located in Fort Greene, Bati Ethiopian Kitchen was proud to be part of the neighborhood’s rich food and culture scene. In 2019, that local flavor was spotlighted in a New York Daily News feature on restaurants along the G train, including a stop at our old home near Fulton Street.

The article, part of a series exploring the best food near subway stops, celebrated Fort Greene for its diversity, creativity, and warmth. Bati was named among the standout spots for authentic Ethiopian food in Brooklyn.

Being featured was a meaningful moment. It reflected what we had always hoped to build: a space where people from all walks of life could come together, share injera and spicy stews, and experience a taste of Ethiopia in the heart of Brooklyn.

Now in our new home on the Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy border, that mission continues. We’re still cooking with love, welcoming our neighbors, and proud to be part of what makes Brooklyn dining so special.
